The call started well enough and then the man from BT became more aggressive and arrogant as the call continued, he questionned my ability to make decisions and the general success of the company on our onloine marketing campaigns.

When he was near enough shouting down the telephone I simply asked him to stop and suggested that we would not be doing business together, he took this reasonably well or so I thought!

Not even two minutes later the phone rang again and guess who? He was as equally rude and I asked him to never ring again. he went away and has so far not returned.

How do these companies get away with it? What a bazaar call.

But is that not what Friday’s are for!

With the new year just ahead of us, we have many opportunities for us to expand and develop. At present, a new product is progressing and will hopefully be unveiled at some point next year! With this maturing and our renewals growing rapidly, the team must prepare and perhaps expand which makes for a very event filled new year. I’m certain we will thrive with these changes and tackle new challenges with a positive attitude.

The team at CWA Europe, who manage the Pay per Click advertising (Google Adwords) and some SEO for Cover4Commercial, want to thank Richard, Nick & Barry and all the Cover4 team for the important support since setting up our business in 2007.

Cover4Commercial were one of our original clients from the outset of our business and without them, and a selection of other valuable and loyal clients, CWA Europe would not have progressed to the stage of accepting this award on October 15th in Marbella.

We truly feel that our working relationship with Cover4Commercial has contributed to how we have grown as a business.  We have had many excellent brainstorming sessions with plenty of honest input and great ideas, in a way that is special to have with a client.

From our professional relationship with Cover4Commercial it is obvious to us how they operate as a company, and how they truly care about both their customers and their team.  As we operate in the same way there is a natural synergy here.

The prize that we have been awarded is the Company of the Year in the Costa del Sol Business Awards.  This is a competition which has been set up to recognise and help further integrate foreign companies here on the Costa del Sol.  There is a lot of support for us here, as they believe in nurturing foreign talent.

On a similar vein, we hope to continue to grow our working relationship and nurture the ongoing potential growth of Cover4Commercial for a long time to come.  It has been an absolute pleasure to deal with an old fashioned company in the sense of values which has excellent innovative and modern ideas and technology.

A little more about CWA Europe:

CWA Europe was awarded the trophy in recognition of their excellent performance especially during these challenging economic times.  Their team includes Spanish, Irish, Portuguese and German natives working with an innovative approach in the area of International Search Marketing.  Additionally they design custom-built e-commerce websites which are finely tuned to anticipate customer needs, therefore increasing sales while at the same time being ahead of the SEO game.

Considered one of the most prestigious trophies, this annual competition was set up by the government of Andalusia and the Chamber of Commerce of Malaga to encourage excellent, innovative foreign run companies.  The Costa del Sol Business Awards is open to companies of all sizes, with the entry requirements being to be a foreign business person, based in Andalusia with up to date tax and social security data.

CWA Europe are currently developing their own software where all client advertising campaigns for the three main search engines, Google, MSN Bing and Yahoo, can be managed and evaluated on the same platform.  This is one of their innovations which contributed to their winning this award and each client will be given their own login details.

From a British or Irish clients’ point of view they are strategically placed in a location where costs are cheaper and there is a wealth of multi-lingual talent. For languages that they do not have in-house they have a team available which are outsourced which works out economically for their clients.

CWA Europe’s SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) department takes a creative results driven approach to their SEO campaign plans.  The CWA customised CMS (content management system) is also used for clients who wish to move onto a very SEO friendly platform while expanding out profitable SEO keywords which are integrated into sEO friendly urls.

In order to give back to the community and also help educate a little, CWA Europe launched the first “Conquering the Web” competition in June 209.  The value of the prize is estimated at around €15,000 and includes a customised, multi-lingual e-commerce website, supported by 3 months of online advertising in 3 languages, plus a Voice-Over internet provider international telephone system, in partnership with Telcom BS.  The prize also includes legal consultations with Aselex Technology who specialise in legal assistance for online businesses.

Throughout all of their work there are underlying themes of passion, exceptional skills, excellent results and treating each client’s business as carefully as if it were their own.  These are some of the reasons that this International Search Marketing Agency, CWA Europe, won the Company of the Year 2009, at the Costa del Sol Business Awards.

Our rates are looking competitive but we are still offering wider cover than a number of other Insurers and we hope that our clients take this into consideration when comparing our prices.

October already – where do the months go?

The early indications are that this will be a very good decision for us as the enquiries are not only coming in but are also being converted into sales and at the end of the day that is important – we are also attracting the right sort of consumers for our product offering which is equally as important.

Our small team will be able to look after these new consumers with a service that will hopefully be more friendly and personal than some of our competition.

Time will tell!

This particular subject matter is very contentious, in fact we deal wih over 10 insurers for let property and some of our panel will honour the claim and some will not.

Why?

The reasons vary based upon the individual insurers contract and their own experiences, but cannabis factories is a relatively new problem and these cases are still being tested in the courts, if your property was damaged by fire from the heating used to cultivate your tenants cannabis farm how would you feel?

What I would like to know from you is: -

Did you have any idea this eventuality may not be covered?

Would you expect this eventuality to be covered?

Should the property not have been visited by you or your manageing agent?

Subject to your feedback we will get on and do something about it.

Our prices are very competitive and if we could offer quotations on the aggregation sites then consumers would be treated more fairly as they would see the best price and cover which was available rather than having to click through a whole list of providers and then get individual quotations off of each of their sites – a total waste of time.

So the answer is simple – please can the aggregators wake up or can the public stop using them for these niche products where they are simply not adding any value.

The visit will focus heavily on Landlords Insurance and Let Property Insurance Online Marketing and I am hoping that we pick up some great advice to lead us through the next 4 months – so far I have always been re-energised by these meetings but maybe that has something to do with the Sangria!

I am also quite stupid as I like the same sort of qualities from the companies we deal with.

I know times are hard but I was contacted recently by a company asking me to advertise on their website (we are talking large amounts of money here as well) and when I declined they became abusive and even slurred our good name.

I had to pinch myself and wondered how much more fun it would be if their industry was regulated like our own – I could do nothing to complain as when I did the same abusive person dealt with the complaint.

No wonder companies out there are having a bad time with attitudes like that.

His site delivers lots of useful information and is dedicated to the world of Landlords, unlike many sites, Tom’s site is not driven purely for commercial profit – no doubt he could have done a better deal that we offer him but we have remained loyal and make use of his newsletters etc both internally and externally.
